Art & Artisans

With inspiring natural beauty all around, the Creston Valley is a magnet for artists and artisans of all kinds. Our diverse creative community includes top-notch visual and applied artists, craftspeople, writers, musicians and thespians. There are great cultural offerings year-round thanks to active groups like the Creston Concert Society, the Friends of the Cinema and the Creston Valley Arts Council.
A small group of Creston area artists and art advocates have formed a new society to increase and promote the presence of artwork throughout the Creston Valley. The Creston Valley Public Arts Connection Society is currently leasing three sculptures for one year as part of the Castlegar Sculpturewalk’s initiative to expand their annual sculpture walk into a more regional project.
Young visual and performing artists get the attention they deserve at Creston’s long-running school-based Focus on Youth event, which is now well into its third decade.
Our venues are great too! Step into the Creston Visitor Centre to find one public art gallery. Prince Charles Auditorium hosts local and touring theatre productions and the Tivoli Theatre is a great place to kick back and watch a film.
